Bringing your own work in
The four steps are an order, not a cage. Wherever you are, the + brings something of your own into the studio.
Three kinds of +
- + in the toolbar loads a new image — a sketch, a photo of a sample, a garment you have already shot. It begins a fresh design.
- + Image in References adds a logo, print, colour or garment to draw on. References persist across steps, so a brand mark added once stays available for everything after it.
- + Logo, + Text, + Element put something onto the garment itself, at a position you choose.
So you are never obliged to start from a blank prompt. Photograph a sample and go on to a technical flat; bring a print you already own; drop a logo in at the last moment before the pack. Each arrival becomes a moment in history like any other.
References
Up to ten images, each with a category, and the category decides how it is used. Only checked references are sent.
| Category | What it does |
|---|---|
| Garment | A shape and style influence |
| Logo | Placed with + Logo, never redrawn |
| Applied as the fabric's pattern | |
| Color | The garment is recoloured to match it |
A colour swatch with nothing typed is a complete instruction on its own. The studio writes that sentence for you, and it does not appear in your instruction box — that box is for your words.
